Synopsis
This is the 9th edition of OμS, the TOM of EOS wholly dedicated to Optical Micro-Systems. The Meeting is dedicated to the devices and systems taking advantage of the progress in micro- and nano-technologies to integrate in a smart way optical devices with electronic, mechanical and sensing components. The increasing interest in this field arises from the perspective applications that would significantly improve the quality of life. Optical-micro-systems are finding applications not only in ICT, but also in biotechnologies, medicine, food and environmental monitoring, aerospace and automotive, homeland security, energy conversion, etc. The conference program will focus on fundamental as well as more applied issues. Biosensors, biochips and lab-on-chips, microfluidic and optofluidic systems, nonlinear and quantum optical integrated devices, neuromorphic optical circuits and photonic Artificial Intelligence, integrated optoelectronics and MOEMS, chemical and physical optical micro/nanosensors, new characterization methods for materials and devices, novel imaging techniques, biomimetic devices and systems, optical systems for energy conversion and management are among the hot topics of the conference.
