Join the EOS and become a part of the growing European optics and photonics community! The EOS has more than 4,500 societal, corporate, individual, associate and student members. Both individuals and institutions can become EOS members.

Legal entities
Societal members
18 National Optical Societies (NOS) in Europe are already societal members of the EOS. Societies can join the EOS as a Branch or as an Affiliated Society.
Branch Societies
The individual and student members of EOS Branches are automatically full individual and full student members of EOS.
In addition, any member of the following EOS branches
- DGAO, Germany
- IOP Optical Group, UK and Ireland
- SFO, France
- SOS, Sweden
- SIOF, Italy
is able to submit papers and attend meetings organized by any EOS Branch on this list on the same terms and at the same rates as the members of this EOS Branch.
Affiliated Societies
For EOS affiliated societies, their individual and student members automatically become EOS Associate individual and associate student members.
The benefits of full members and associate members are listed below. All these societies are represented at the EOS board, and the Scientific Advisory Committee, and the Presidents of the NOS receive letters from EOS twice a year.

Individual memberships
Full individual members
Take advantage of special rates for journals and events and meet colleagues in your field of work. Join the EOS directly or through your national optical society.
Student members
Build up your professional network and benefit from special rates for journals and events for only 10 € per year.
Associate individual members
Join one of our Affiliated Societies and become an Associate EOS member automatically. Upgrading to a full individual membership only costs 12.50 € and brings you all the benefits.
Associate student members
Join one of our Affiliated Societies and become an Associate EOS member automatically. Upgrading to a full student membership only costs 3 € and brings you all the benefits.
In addition, any EOS member, regardless of the membership mode, have the possibility to attend most of the meetings of our Partner Societies and EOS co-sponsored events at member rates, and submit to the EOS Journal (JEOS:RP) with a discounted fee.
